Pirates de Galicia (PIRATA.GAL, Galician for pirates of Galicia ) is a party in the Spanish autonomous region of Galicia . It was founded on December 26, 2011 on the model of the Swedish Pirate Party and other pirate parties and officially registered on January 26, 2012. She advocates the reform of intellectual property law , more direct participation in the political process and the protection of fundamental rights.

In November 2013 PIRATA.GAL founded the Confederación Pirata with other regional pirate parties . This will run for the 2014 European elections and will participate in the European Pirate Party .

In the elections to the provincial parliament on October 22, 2012, PIRATA.GAL ran for the first time. She ran in two of the four constituencies, scoring 0.17% in the Ourense constituency and 0.24% in the Pontevedra constituency .
