Platinum Dunes
Platinum Dunes is a film production company . It was founded by producers Michael Bay , Andrew Form and Brad Fuller in 2003 to primarily produce remakes of successful horror films from the 1970s.
history
The company's first two productions, the remakes of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Amityville Horror , grossed more than $ 100 million each worldwide.
The 2014 comic book adaptation, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, was the first non-horror film for Platinum Dunes. In the years that followed, the sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and Bumblebee also produced two more films that are not part of the horror genre.
In 2019, Six Underground will be the first Platinum Dunes production to appear on Netflix , directed by Michael Bay himself.
