history

Prossyeczye was first mentioned in writing in 1395 when Sulek, known as Němec de Prossyeczye, sold the village of Obřany to the Kartause Královo Pole ( Königsfeld ). After the Lords de Prossyeczye, the Premonstratensian Monastery Zábrdovice followed as the owner of Proseč. The monastery had a courtyard in the center of the village and the Beim Polaken tavern . The oldest place seal comes from the 17th century, but it does not show a year. In 1746, the Nový Dvůr sheep farm was laid out southeast of Proseč by the Pozořice rulership . In the same year, the Pozořice lordship laid out another farm, Nový Dvůr, which was located in the corridors of the desert village of Lhota and was later called Lhotky . The Jägerhaus and Hegerhaus were later built in Lhotky, and in 1842 accommodation for forest workers was added.

After the abolition of patrimonial Proseč formed from 1850 with the one-shift Nový Dvůr a municipality in the district administration Brno . Nový Dvůr was reassigned to Ochoz u Brna in 1890 . On April 24, 1901, a major fire broke out in Proseč. This spread quickly over clapboard and thatched-roof houses and destroyed eleven houses. The fire also spread to Březina, where 26 houses in the village were destroyed. In 1891 the bell tower on the village square was expanded into a chapel. Since 1921 the municipality belonged to the Okres Brno-venkov . In the last days of the Second World War, on May 1, 1945, a battle took place in the area between an advance guard of the Red Army and the Wehrmacht, which was in retreat. On December 7, 1950 Proseč was merged with Březina to form a municipality Březina and at the same time assigned to the Okres Blansko . The chapel was demolished in 1976. Since the beginning of 2007 the village belongs again to the Okres Brno-venkov. Ochoz u Brna to the Church of the Virgin Mary in Křtiny is parish.
