Przylesie ( German Konradswaldau ) is a village in the Polish rural community Olszanka ( Alzenau ) in the Brzeski powiat of the Opole Voivodeship .

Geographical location

Przylesie is located in the eastern part of Lower Silesia in the Brieger Land. The village of Przylesie is located about seven kilometers west of the municipality seat Olszanka , about ten kilometers southwest of the district town of Brzeg and about 51 kilometers northwest of the voivodeship capital Opole .

Przylesie lies in the Nizina Śląska (Silesian Plain) within the Równina Wrocławska (Wroclaw Plain) . The Voivodeship Road Droga wojewódzka 401 runs through the village . Przylesie is located on the Przyleski Potok . The A4 motorway runs two kilometers south of the village .

history

Stanislaus Church

The place was first mentioned in 1300 as Cunradswaldt . A church in the village is first mentioned in 1349. In 1360 it was mentioned as Cunraczwald .

After the First Silesian War in 1742, Konradswaldau and most of Silesia fell to Prussia .

After the reorganization of the province of Silesia , the rural community Konradswaldau belonged to the district of Brieg in the administrative district of Breslau from 1818 . In 1845 there was a Protestant church, a Protestant school and another 182 houses in the village. In the same year, 886 people lived in Konradswaldau, 15 of them Catholic. In 1874 the district of Schönfeld was founded, to which Konradswaldau was incorporated. In 1885, 1085 people lived in Konradswaldau.

In 1933 there were 1015 people in Konradswaldau, and again 981 in 1939. Until 1945 the village belonged to the district of Brieg .

As a result of the Second World War, Konradswaldau fell under Polish administration in 1945, like most of Silesia . The place was subsequently renamed Przylesie and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 it was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place became part of the newly founded Powiat Breszki ( Brieg district )

Attractions

  • The Roman Catholic Church of Stanislaus (Polish: Kościół pw. Św. Św. Stanisława ) was built in the 14th century. Between 1534 and 1945 the church served the Protestant community. In 1713 the church was rebuilt. In 1945 the church was partially damaged and rebuilt in the 1950s. The church has been a listed building since 1966.
