Qatar Airways Challenge 2005

The Qatar Airways Challenge 2005 took place from April 18 to 24, 2005 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha , Qatar . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2004/05 and belonged to the WSA Gold 50 category . The prize money was $ 72,500.

Last year's winner Vanessa Atkinson was eliminated in the round of 16 against Tania Bailey . In the final, the top seeded Rachael Grinham defeated the sixth seeded Natalie Grainger with 2: 9, 10: 8, 9: 2 and 9: 2. For Grinham it was the 18th title win on the World Tour.

The field of participants in the women's competition consisted of 32 players, eight of which were reserved for qualifiers. The best 16 players were seeded. A wildcard was not awarded.
