Qatar Airways Challenge 2006

The Qatar Airways Challenge 2006 took place from July 4th to 9th, 2006 in the Indian city ​​of Hyderabad . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2005/06 and belonged to the WSA Gold 50 category . The prize money was $ 79,550.

Last year's winner Rachael Grinham reached the final again, in which she met the top seed Nicol David . David won the game 4: 9, 9: 5, 9: 0 and 9: 0 and thus secured her eleventh title on the World Tour. One day before the start of the tournament, world number leader Vanessa Atkinson withdrew her participation due to an injury.

The field of participants in the women's competition consisted of 32 players, eight of which were reserved for qualifiers. The best 16 players were seeded. A wildcard was not awarded.
