DVD bonus material

The DVD contains an additional disc with extensive bonus material. These include a backstage interview on the occasion of Queen's performance in Milton Keynes as well as further interviews with Freddie Mercury, Brian May and Roger Taylor. In particular, this DVD shows excerpts from two other concerts from 1982 that were also filmed. The entire replay of Queen's last concert of the year near Tokyo on November 3rd was originally video-only in Japan. The keyboard player during this second, non-European section of the Hot Space tour was Fred Mandel , who in the following year also took part in May's solo album Star Fleet Project and Queen's next studio album The Works .

Excerpts from the concert in Vienna on May 12, 1982 in the Stadthalle :

  1. Another one bites the dust
  2. We will rock you
  3. We are the champions
  4. God Save the Queen

Excerpts from the concert in Tokorozawa near Tokyo on November 3, 1982 in the Seibu Lions Stadium; Brian May played the piano in Teo Torriatte :

  1. Flash / The Hero
  2. Now I'm Here
  3. impromptu
  4. Put out the fire
  5. Dragon Attack
  6. Now I'm Here (reprise)
  7. Crazy Little Thing Called Love
  8. Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together)

The so-called photo gallery of the DVD is underlaid with a live version of Calling All Girls , which was also recorded on November 3, 1982.

Criticism in the media

“All the live favorites are here: 'Love Of My Life', equal parts graceful lullaby and football terrace chant, but as charming as ever; 'Now I'm Here', cleverly spliced with The Game's 'Dragon Attack', and 'Fat Bottomed Girls', sounding fatter than ever. And of course, it wouldn't be a Queen gig without a little of Freddie's playful crowd mastery. […] The set finishes predictably but majestically, with Queen's pomp-rock coup de grace: 'We Will Rock You', followed by 'We Are The Champions' and 'God Save The Queen'. If you need a reminder of just how invincible Queen were in concert, look no further. "
