Rębice

Rębice (German Birkhain ) is a residential area in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . It is located in the area of the Gmina Rymań (rural community Roman) and belongs with this to the powiat Kołobrzeski (Kolberg district) .

Geographical location

The residential area is in Western Pomerania , about 80 kilometers northeast of Stettin and about 25 kilometers south of Kołobrzeg (Kolberg) , two kilometers south of the village of Gorawino (Gervin) . To the east of the residential area, the Ückerbach flows from south to north , and further north makes a large curve to the west. Across the stream in the east lies the Drozdówko residential area (Vorwerk Drosedow) , which belongs to Drozdowo (Drosedow) .

history

The living space was laid out around 1850 as a preliminary work for the Gervin B manor . The Vorwerk was named Birkhain after the birch trees that grew here at the time. When the manor was divided up in 1897/1898, Birkhain came to a buyer with 114 hectares of land. Later it was further divided. Before 1945, Birkhain consisted of two farms with 24 hectares and 38 hectares of land.

Until 1945 Birkhain formed a residential area of the community Gervin and belonged with this to the district Kolberg-Körlin of the province of Pomerania .

After the Second World War , Birkhain, like all of the Pomerania, came to Poland. It received the Polish place name Rębice .
