Gołkowo (Rymań)

Gołkowo (German Birkenfelde ) is a residential area in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . It belongs to the Gmina Rymań (rural municipality Roman) .

Geographical location

The place of residence is in Western Pomerania , about 80 kilometers northeast of Stettin and about two kilometers north of the village of Rymań (Roman) . To the east of the residential area ran the now disused Roman – Kolberg line of the Kolberger Kleinbahn . Neighboring about two kilometers to the west is the Małobór desert (forest house) and about one kilometer to the north of the residential area Lędowa ( forest courtyard ) .

history

Birkenfelde was a Vorwerk of the manor in Roman . Until 1928 it belonged to the manor district of Roman, then with the dissolution of the manor districts in Prussia it came to the municipality of Roman. Until 1945, Birkenfelde formed a residential area for the Roman community and belonged to the Kolberg-Körlin district in the Pomeranian province .

After the Second World War , Birkenfelde, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. It received the Polish place name Gołkowo .

Gołkowo is now part of the Rymań Schulzenamt in Gmina Rymań .
