history

Starsberg was originally a Vorwerk with sheep farm of the manor in Roman . Starsberg is already entered on the Lubin map from 1618. In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's detailed description of the current state of the Royal Prussian Duchy of Western and Western Pomerania (1784), Starsberg is mentioned by Roman among the noble estates of the Greifenberg district , namely as "a farm with a sheep farm located on the Feldmark, called Starsberg" . In 1818 Starsberg and Roman were reclassified to the Fürstenthum district and when the Fürstenthum district was dissolved in 1871 it became part of the Colberg-Cörlin district .

Around 1900 the Roman estate was divided. Starsberg was sold separately and passed through several hands until it was bought in 1925 by Lothar von Dewitz , who had already acquired Roman. So Starsberg was again managed as a Vorwerk of the estate in Roman until 1945. In 1938 part of the area was sold to neighboring farmers; the area cultivated by Vorwerk Starsberg fell from 338 hectares to 105 hectares. The last owner before 1945 was Lothar von Dewitz's widow.

Until 1945 Starsberg formed a place to live in the municipality of Roman and belonged with this to the Kolberg-Körlin district .

After the Second World War , Starsberg, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. It received the Polish place name Starza .

Starza is now part of the Rymań school administration in Gmina Rymań .
