Strzebielewo (Rymań)

Strzebielewo (German Strebelow ) is a residential area in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . It belongs to the Gmina Rymań (rural municipality Roman) .

Geographical location

The place of residence is in Western Pomerania , about 90 kilometers northeast of Stettin and about two kilometers north of the village of Leszczyn (Lestin) .

history

The living space was founded at the beginning of the 19th century as a wooden cottage of the manor in Lestin . Strebelow was later run as a Vorwerk of the manor. Immediately to the north was the Lestiner brickworks , which was shut down in the 1900s; A courtyard was created in its place.

The place name "Strebelow" was also used for the Vorwerk Kienow located 10 kilometers to the west . A connection between the naming cannot be established.

When the previous manor Lestin was parceled out between 1903 and 1907, Strebelow with 125 hectares of land was sold separately. The buyer, named Gerhard Backe, ran Strebelow as his own small estate. In 1939 the company covered 150 hectares of land, with ten horses, 60 cattle and 100 pigs.

Until 1945 Strebelow belonged to the community Lestin and with this to the district Kolberg-Körlin of the province of Pomerania .

After the Second World War , Strebelow, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. The place name was Polonized as Strzebielewo .
