Ramón Rodríguez (born December 20, 1979 in Río Piedras , Puerto Rico ) is a Puerto Rican American actor , model and dancer .

Life

Rodríguez was born and raised in Río Piedras , and later moved to Manhattan on the Lower East Side . He attended the New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies , where he was in a class with Morena Baccarin and Claire Danes . He then attended a school in Michigan . He played basketball there for the past two years . He later attended Wheeling Jesuit University and New York University , where he graduated with a degree in sports .

Career

Rodríguez has been familiar with the film industry since childhood and had his first engagements in smaller film projects at an early age. He worked for Nike and the New York Knicks , among others . He was best known for his role in the two television series The Wire and Day Break . He is also known for his role alongside John Turturro in the films Transformers - The Revenge and the remake of The Abduction of the Underground Pelham 123 . He also appeared on various television shows such as Saturday Night Live . He also works as a professional dancer. Rodríguez is also a writer and has written for Newsweek and Bound magazine , among others .
