The BioNutria Park Randers is a football stadium in the Danish port city of Randers . Randers is located in the Midtjylland region in Jutland . The venue is home to the football club Randers FC and has a capacity of 12,000 spectators. 6,114 fans are allowed in international games.
history
Opened in 1961 under the name Randers Stadium , three of the four grandstands were completely rebuilt in 2006. Uncovered standing room was only left at the guest fan rank. The investment company Essex bought the naming rights . The architect of the building was CF Møller. The three new grandstands are covered and equipped with VIP boxes. In summer 2006 the stadium got underfloor heating and an irrigation system . In October 2007, a 37 m² video wall was installed on the north stand .
On 6 June 2007, joined American rock - band Aerosmith in front of about 23,000 fans in the stadium. In the summer of 2009, the Randers FC scored in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League on the Hamburger SV . After a 4-0 away win for HSV, Randers FC won the second leg in Hamburg 1-0.
In 2011, the sponsorship agreement on naming rights with the investment company Essex expired. On April 18 of that year, the Randers FC club announced the new name. The stadium will be named AutoC Park Randers after a local car dealer until summer 2015 .
In September 2015 the stadium was given the new sponsor name BioNutria Park Randers after the company BioNutria Danmark . The contract runs until October 31, 2018.

- Marcus grandstand (south): 1,011 seats; Standing room for 2,886
- Energi Randers grandstand (west): 2,407 seats with VIP lounge and boxes
- North grandstand : approx. 3,000 standing places for the guest fans
It is not yet clear when the north stand will be rebuilt.
