Raymond "Ray" Crawford (born October 26, 1915 in Roswell , † February 1, 1996 in Los Angeles ) was an American racing driver .

Career

Ray Crawford started thirteen times in the AAA National Series between 1955 and 1959 and was able to achieve six top ten placements. The 500-mile Indianapolis Crawford was three times in races there, but managed not finish. In 1954 he won the stock car class at the Carrera Panamericana in a Lincoln .

The three Indianapolis participations were also counted for the Formula 1 World Championship , since the 500-mile race from 1950 to 1960 was part of the driver’s world championship.
