Reddick is a city in Marion County in the US state of Florida with 506 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Reddick is about 15 km north of Ocala . Orlando and Jacksonville are each 130 km and Tampa is 160 km away.

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 506 inhabitants were distributed over 237 households. The population density was 158.1 inh / km². 44.5% of the population identified themselves as white, 48.6% as African-American , 0.2% as Native American and 0.2% as Asian Americans . 3.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.4% to several ethnic groups. 8.9% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 31.5% of all households and persons aged 65 and over lived in 30.5% of all households. 64.5% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.49 people and the average family size was 3.15 people.

26.4% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 20.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 30.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 23.0% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 42 years. 47.6% of the population were male and 52.4% were female.

The median annual income was $ 30,526, with 27.7% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 91.84% of the population and Spanish was spoken by 8.16%.
