Regina Mapeli Burchardt (born Regina Burchardt on July 1, 1983 in Berlin ) is a German national volleyball player .
Career
Burchardt started her career in her hometown at Marzahner VC . In 1996 she joined the VC Olympia Berlin youth team . After fifth place at the European Youth Championships in 1999, she rose to the juniors, with whom she was sixth and ninth at the 2000 European Championships and 2001 World Championships. In the 2000/01 season, Burchardt was one of the first VCOs to play in the Bundesliga. She then moved to the Volley Cats Berlin within the capital and then continued to play at VC 68 Zeuthen-Eichwalde . In 2004 the Rote Raben Vilsbiburg signed the attacker. In Bavaria she was twice runner-up in her first two years. She also made her debut in the senior national team in 2005 , with which she took part in the European Championship in Croatia . In the 2007/08 season she was German champion with the ravens. In 2009 Vilsbiburg won the DVV Cup . In the 2008/09 season, the team also reached second place in the Bundesliga and the Final Four of the CEV Cup . Then she moved to the Spanish club Club Voleibol Haro Rioja . Because of the financial crisis , she left Spain after a year and came back to the Bundesliga for 1. VC Wiesbaden in the summer of 2010 thanks to her teammate Nicole Fetting . In the very first season Burchardt played with the VCW in the European Cup, but retired early in the Challenge Cup . In the league and in the cup, the season was not so successful for last year's runners-up. Burchardt was part of the national team that was runner-up in 2011 . In 2011/12, the Hessians reached the playoff quarter-finals and the cup semi-finals . In the DVV-Pokal 2012/13 the VCW with the captain Burchardt was only defeated in the final to the Schweriner SC and reached the playoff semi-finals . In the next two seasons, Burchardt made it to the semi-finals of the Bundesliga with Wiesbaden. In 2015 she moved to league competitor SC Potsdam . The Brandenburg women reached the quarter-finals of the Bundesliga via the pre-playoffs . After the season, Burchardt moved to the Berlin regional league team TSV Tempelhof-Mariendorf , where she played together with her twin sister Anita. At the beginning of January 2017, she announced the end of her career.
