The Delitzsch repair shop is located on the Trebnitz – Leipzig railway line and has developed into a maintenance center for the overhaul, modernization and new construction of rail-bound passenger vehicles in over 100 years . It was a repair shop of the Deutsche Reichsbahn in Saxony Delitzsch . After being sold in 2010, the Delitzsch plant belonged to EuroMaint Rail GmbH , which in turn was a subsidiary of the Swedish EuroMaint  AB . On December 28, 2015, the sale of the German EuroMaint locations including the Delitzsch plant to the investment company Iberia Industry Capital Group was announced. The operating company has been trading as RailMaint since May 2, 2016 .

The former Reichsbahnausbesserungswerk Delitzsch ("RAW Herbert Warnke ") was - after the merger of the Deutsche Bundesbahn and the Deutsche Reichsbahn - assigned to DB Regio AG as a C-Werk in heavy maintenance. With the establishment of DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH (1998), all heavy maintenance plants were brought together under one management. These included the Bremen , Cottbus , Delitzsch , Dessau , Eberswalde , Fulda , Kassel , Krefeld , Leipzig-Engelsdorf , Munich , Neumünster , Paderborn and Wittenberge plants . The Delitzsch plant of DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH was sold on January 1, 2005 to SFW Schienenfahrzeugwerk Delitzsch GmbH . On January 1, 2009, the owner changed again. From then on, the plant belonged to the Swedish group of companies and was one of the five sub-workshops of the EuroMaint Group (EMD). Other associated plants were Kaiserslautern (EMK), Leipzig-Engelsdorf (EML), Duisburg (EMDu) and Oberhausen (EMO). All locations were sold to the Iberia Industry Capital Group on December 28, 2015 and have been operating as RailMaint since the name change in May 2016 .

In 2013, the factory was Delitzsch a former ÖBB - Multiple Unit Series 4010 for the Hamburg-Köln-Express processed and modernized. Six of these cars had been modernized by December 2015. The remaining twelve donor trolleys are on the factory premises. Another renovation is not in sight for the time being.

tasks

One of the tasks of the Delitzsch plant is the reconditioning of the rail vehicles , as well as digital train radio equipment (GSM-R) and inductive train control systems , braking and running gear systems and electronics. Furthermore, rail vehicles are being modernized, converted and rebuilt in Delitzsch. Damage analysis, maintenance and (accident) repair are the tasks of the plant in Delitzsch. Wheelsets and bogies are also reconditioned here for all maintenance levels. Partial and complete coloring by painting or film bonding is one of the tasks as well as the maintenance of passenger information systems and door and transition equipment. Upholstery , carpentry and flooring work are carried out here. Another task is cleaning, decalcifying and reconditioning toilet systems. Preventive graffiti protection as well as the accompaniment of (event) trips by trained service technicians as well as mobile service are offered here.

Two production halls are spread over a workshop area of ​​46,000 m² and today EuroMaint Rail GmbH in Delitzsch employs almost 300 people . The track system has a length of 16.5 km and the total area of ​​the company is 270,000 m². There are two production halls with three continuous work tracks, each 273 m long, and two tracks for vehicle groups up to 230 m. There is a lifting jack system for double-decker cars , block trains or coupled cars. Own workshops for wheelset and bogie machining equipped with wheelset press machine and shaft grinding machine are located on the site. In addition, there is a blasting system and a coloring complex for vehicles up to 30 m as well as for painting multiple units. There are also workshops for upholstery, carpentry and flooring work and for sheet metal working on the site. Ultrasonic , high voltage, electrical and climate test benches are housed in the former RAW Delitzsch .
