Reisstraße is a former Austrian municipality with 166 inhabitants (as of October 31, 2013) in the judicial district of Judenburg , district of Murtal , state of Styria . Since 2015 it has been merged with the communities of Eppenstein , Maria Buch-Feistritz and Weißkirchen in Styria as part of the Styrian community structural reform . The new municipality continues the name Weißkirchen in Steiermark.
geography
Reisstraße is located about 15 km southeast of the district capital Judenburg in a side valley of the Mur Valley , on the northern foothills of the Stubalpe . The highest peaks in the former municipality are the Ameringkogel ( 2187 m above sea level ) and the Rappoldkogel ( 1928 m ).

history
The political community of Reissstrasse was established in 1849/50.
politics
The municipal council, which was dissolved on December 31, 2014, consisted of nine members and, since the municipal council election in 2010, has consisted of mandataries from the following parties: 5 ÖVP , 3 SPÖ and 1 FPÖ .
Up until then, the mayor was Georg Hofbauer from the ÖVP .

Economy and Infrastructure
According to the 2001 census of workplaces , there were 10 workplaces with 24 employees in the community as well as 65 out-commuters and 6 in-commuters. There were 28 agricultural and forestry holdings (7 of which were the main occupation), which together farmed 2,096 hectares (as of 1999).
The recovered in mining in Kleinfeistritz talk like mineral Leukophyllit is further processed in Weisskirchen in Talkumwerk Naintsch and sold around the world.
