Remi Elie (born April 16, 1995 in Green Valley , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Buffalo Sabers of the National Hockey League since October 2018 and for their farm team , the Rochester Americans , in the American Hockey League plays in the position of the left winger .

Career

Elie first played for the Hawkesbury Hawks in the Central Canadian Hockey League between 2011 and 2012 , before moving to the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League that summer . They had already selected him in the OHL Priority Selection last year . With the Knights he won the J. Ross Robertson Cup in his rookie season and was then represented with the team in the Memorial Cup . Shortly after the start of the 2013/14 season , the striker moved to the Belleville Bulls within the league , where he played for almost a year and a half until the beginning of January 2015. He then worked for the Erie Otters until the end of the season in April 2015 .

After the attacker in September 2014 the Dallas Stars , which it in 2013 NHL Entry Draft , had selected in the second round in 40th place out of the National Hockey League had been committed, he played with the start of the AHL 2015/16 for the Farm team Texas Stars in the American Hockey League . There he also began the 2016/17 season , before the Canadian was first called to Dallas' NHL squad in early March 2017 and made his debut there.

As part of the preparation for the 2018/19 season, Elie was to be sent to the AHL via the waiver and was signed by the Buffalo Sabers .
