Renate Christin , née Marbach (born January 28, 1941 in Regensburg ), is a German visual artist .

Life

From 1976 to 1980 Christin attended the International Summer Academy for Fine Arts in Salzburg and the Summer Academy in Millstatt as well as the University of Haifa .

From 2002 to 2005 she was chairwoman of the board of directors of the International Society for Fine Arts (IGBK), from 2002 to 2008 board member of GEDOK (from 2006 as deputy chairwoman) and from 2003 to 2007 member of the board of the European Council of Artists (ECA) and from 1988 to 2013 artistic director of the International Art Forum at Eichhofen Castle . In 1993 she was a founding member of the GReK (group of Regensburger Künstlerinnen), in 1996 a founding member of the international artist group SaFiR ( Salzburg , Firenze , Regensburg) and from 2010 to 2014 was the 1st chairwoman of the Regensburg Art Association GRAZ, of which she has been a member since 2008. She is also a member of the BBK Niederbayern / Oberpfalz and since 2000 honorary member of the German-Czech Art Association. In Austria she is a member of the Zülow Group . Since 1998 she has been a guest lecturer at the Scuola del Vedere - Libera Accademia di Belle Arti in Trieste .

Christin's pictures, collages and sculptures made from a wide variety of materials have been shown in several exhibitions and at trade fairs around the world. Her works are represented in public collections, for example in the German Embassy in Washington, DC , in the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts , the collections of the government of the Upper Palatinate , the city of Regensburg, the University Clinic Regensburg , the Museum of Modern Art in Passau , by Hanns Egon Wörlen , the Regensburg Art and Trade Association and the Casoria Contemporary Art Museum .

She lives in Sinzing and is the mother of two children.
