Rengershausen is a district of the town of Frankenberg (Eder) in the northern Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg . The district is a recognized climatic health resort .

Geographical location

The place is located in the north of the state of Hesse , directly on the border with North Rhine-Westphalia , embedded in the Rothaargebirge and the Ederbergland. Neighboring towns are Wangershausen , Hommershausen , Somplar and Braunshausen .

history

It was first mentioned in a document in 1107. In 1800 the village church was rebuilt.

On 31 December 1970 Rengershausen in the wake of was municipal reform in Hesse on a voluntary basis in the city Frankenberg (Eder) (former spelling Frankenberg-Eder ) incorporated .
