Rhett Gordon (born August 26, 1976 in Regina , Saskatchewan ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Nottingham Panthers from the British Elite Ice Hockey League . His brother Boyd Gordon was also a professional ice hockey player.
Career
Gordon began his career in 1992 in his hometown of Regina . For a total of four years he played there for the Regina Pats in the Western Hockey League . He was a key player of his team, especially in the last two years, but he was by any team in the NHL drafted .
His first station in professional ice hockey were the Springfield Falcons from the AHL , for whom he played for three years. The 1998/99 season the right-shooter spent with the Manitoba Moose in the IHL and moved to the Kansas City Blades for the next season within the league . The Canadian played most of the season for the Canadian national ice hockey team . From the 2000/01 season, Gordon played in the British Ice Hockey Superleague for the Ayr Scottish Eagles and for the Sheffield Steelers . After three years, he switched to the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen to the Herning Blue Fox . The attacker played for the Iserlohn Roosters in the DEL in the 2004/05 season . Here his contract was not extended, so that Gordon went to SG Cortina in the Italian Serie A and spent the next season in Denmark again, this time with the Rødovre Mighty Bulls . In 2007 Gordon returned to Germany and played for the Augsburg Panthers . As of the 2010/11 season , Gordon is no longer available for the Panthers. In August 2010 the Canadian moved to HC Bozen from the Italian A1 series .
