The cattle pasture is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon town of Hessisch Oldendorf in the Hameln-Pyrmont district .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 058 is 6.6  hectares in size. It is part of the FFH area of the same name . A 3.4 hectare area was designated as a natural forest reserve "Rinderweide" in 1972 . In the west it borders on the nature reserve " Old pond in the cattle pasture ," north and south to the conservation area "Hessisch Oldendorf Wesertal / South". The area has been under nature protection since August 7, 1980. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Hameln-Pyrmont.

The nature reserve is located within the Weserbergland Schaumburg-Hameln nature park in the valley of the Heßlinger Bach, southwest of Hessisch Oldendorf between the districts of Friedrichsburg and Klein Heßlingen.

The nature reserve is characterized by a moist alder-ash and oak-hornbeam forest, through which a spring horizon runs. Large areas of the slopes are moored.
