Robert Fuller
Robert Fuller (born July 29, 1933 in Troy , New York ; actually Buddy Lee ) is an American actor . He became known in the 1960s as the actor of Jess Harper in the western series At the foot of the blue mountains . Overall, his acting career was shaped by roles in western series.
Life
Robert Fuller experienced acting and dancing early in his youth, as his parents ran a dance school . In 1952 he moved with his family to Hollywood , where he initially worked as a stuntman and actor. During this time he adopted the stage name Robert Fuller .
In the following time he played small roles in some feature films. Among other things, he played a small role in the successful film Blondes, preferably with Marilyn Monroe . His acting career was interrupted from 1953 to 1955 when he was drafted as a soldier for the Korean War.
After his military service, he continued to work as an actor and got his first major roles, which increased his popularity. He had various guest roles in television series before he got his first own series with At the foot of the blue mountains , in which he embodied the character of Jess Harper. After this series ran out in 1963, he played the lead role in the series Wagon Train until 1966 . In the following years, the western phase of American television ebbed, and Fuller got fewer and fewer roles. In 1966 he acted as Vin in the successful film The Return of the Magnificent Seven .
Under pressure from a producer, Fuller took over the role of Dr. Kelly Brackett of the hit TV series Emergency California , which expired in 1979.
In the 1980s and 1990s, Fuller was only seen as a guest star in various series. His last appearance was in the final episode of Walker, Texas Ranger with Chuck Norris . He then retired completely from acting.
Robert Fuller is a second marriage and has three children from his first marriage. Today he lives with his wife Jennifer Savidge on their own ranch in Texas .
