Bravo star cut

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bravo Star Cut is a section of the youth magazine Bravo .

Issue 13 in 1959 was one of his most successful sections. At the beginning it was called the star cut . So every week there was one, later up to two pages to collect and cut out. After being glued together, the parts resulted in a mostly life-size poster of the star.

history

The first star cut showed the French actress Brigitte Bardot ; Stars from the fields of film, television and music followed.

By 2004, a total of 118 of these star cuts had been published. Special features were the still coveted star cuts by Kiss , Abba , Marilyn Monroe , Elvis , Roy Black , Winnetou , the Beatles , Udo Lindenberg and the Juliane Werding star cut, in which she sits almost life-size in a glittering silver outfit on a motorcycle. Only with the last part - the head - was it revealed who it was. This kind of puzzle was often organized by Bravo about her star cuts.

Occasionally, athletes such as Mark Spitz or Boris Becker also appeared in the puzzle poster. In 1974, for the first soccer World Cup in Germany, a wallpaper with all the top players was gradually published, which reached a length of just under three meters. In the days of Bonanza , the Cartwright ranch appeared as a cut-out sheet. Movie characters like ET or Superman were also broken down into small pieces, as was the movie star Olivia Pascal . Shaun Cassidy , Nena and Shakin 'Stevens were so popular in their time that a second star cut appeared in a relatively short period of time. Pierre Brice even appeared three times, albeit at a somewhat greater distance . If you had to collect parts for 39 weeks for the early Beatles star cut, the Paul Young poster in 1984 was complete after just four weeks. It took about six months until all the parts of the Disco group Village People were together; only in the meantime the singer had dropped out. The Bravo editorial team solved this problem by swapping his head for the new one just before it was released as the last part.

From 1992 until the appearance of a star cut with Britney Spears in 2000 there was no other star cut.

present

The star cuts from US5 in 2005 and Tokio Hotel 2006 consisted of A3 sheets that could be laid on top of one another and glued together without cutting the contours. For the parts printed on both sides, one of the two star cut motifs could be selected. After Tokio Hotel, there was no other star cut for eleven years. In 2017/18 Bravo released a new star cut from TikTok (formerly musical.ly ) stars Lisa and Lena.
