Robert Georg Theobald von Sausin de Montanieres (born March 9, 1809 in Ober-Graeditz, district of Schweidnitz , † October 23, 1888 in Liegnitz ) was a Prussian major general and most recently the commander of the 21st Infantry Regiment .

Life

origin

His parents were Christoph von Sausin de Montanieres (* March 14, 1756; † July 25, 1833) and his wife Florentine Sophie Wilhelmine von Dobschütz (* May 1, 1779; † May 14, 1840). His father was born in Orange and became a Prussian lieutenant colonel . D. and was most recently in command of the reserve battalion of the 8th Silesian Landwehr Regiment.

Career

He came to Potsdam as a cadet in 1820 and to Berlin as a cadet on October 20, 1822 . From there he went on April 5, 1826 as a second lieutenant in the 26th Infantry Regiment . From 1829 to 1832 he was posted to the General War School . He was then from 1834 to 1837 a teacher at the division school of the 7th Division and from 1837 to 1839 in the topographic office . On September 12, 1839, he was appointed Premier Lieutenant , and on June 13, 1848, he was transferred back to the 26th Infantry Regiment as a captain and company commander . On March 20, 1855 he came as a major in the 31st Landwehr Regiment, where he was in command of the III. Battalion came to Sangerhausen . He received the Order of the Red Eagle 4th Class on January 17, 1860 and was posted on May 8, 1860 to lead a battalion in the 31st Combined Infantry Regiment . But on July 1, 1860, he came as a commander in the fusilier battalion of the 71st Infantry Regiment and was promoted to lieutenant colonel at the same time, to be transferred as a commander to the 21st Infantry Regiment on August 23, 1860. There he was promoted to colonel on October 18, 1861 , and on January 18, 1863 he was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, 3rd class with ribbon. He received the character of major general on April 3, 1866 and was put up for disposal with a pension .

During the mobilization for the Franco-Prussian War , he joined the 8th Infantry Brigade on July 18, 1870 as deputy commander. Released from this position on March 16, 1872, he was also awarded the Order of the Red Eagle 2nd Class with Oak Leaves on April 4, 1872. He died in Liegnitz on October 23, 1888.

After the death of his first wife, he married Constance (Bade) Klara Mathilde Therese Karoline Rosalie von Hering (born October 21, 1828 - June 24, 1913), daughter of Friedrich von Hering, on September 12, 1850 . The couple had several children:
