Robert Lachowicz (born February 8, 1990 in Nottingham , England ) is a British ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Nottingham Panthers in the Elite Ice Hockey League since 2007 .

Career

Club career

Robert Lachowicz started his ice hockey career with various youth teams in his hometown of Nottingham . With the Nottingham Leopards he won the British U18 Championship in 2008. Since 2007 he has played for the Nottingham Panthers in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). As the main round winner of the EIHL, he won the British championship with the Panthers in 2013. He won the league playoffs with the club in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2016. In 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016 he also won the Challenge Cup. In 2017 he won the Continental Cup with the Panthers . In the 2009/10 season he also played temporarily for Manchester Phoenix in the English Premier Ice Hockey League .

International

In the junior division, Lachowicz was on the ice for Great Britain at the U18 World Championships 2007 in Division I and 2008 in Division II and the U20 World Championships in Division II in 2009 and 2010 .

In the British men's national team , Lachwicz was first used at the 2011 World Cup in Division I. He also played in Division I at the World Championships in 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 , 2017 and 2018 , when the British were promoted to the top tier of the World Championships for the first time since relegation in 1994, and he also represented his colors the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014 and Pyeongchang 2018 .
