Robin Hood Aviation was an Austrian airline based in Feldkirchen near Graz and based at Graz Airport .
history
The airline received its operating license from Austro Control on April 11, 2007 and began regular operations on May 29, 2007 with a Saab 340 (OE-GIR).
On March 15, 2010, Robin Hood Aviation filed for bankruptcy. However, a compensation - which has meanwhile been successfully completed - was sought and flight operations continued.
In mid-August 2011, flight operations were suspended for a few days without giving any further reasons. Conflicts in the company management had already become known. On August 23, 2011 another bankruptcy petition was filed due to liabilities totaling 1.8 million euros. Prior to this, one of the company's two aircraft was threatened with seizure. After the bankruptcy proceedings were opened, the airline's employees were terminated and flight operations ceased.
The Graz - Zurich airline continued to be operated by InterSky , even though InterSky filed for bankruptcy in November 2015 and ceased operations.
aims
Robin Hood connected the Austrian cities of Graz with Zurich from Monday to Friday and Linz with Zurich and vice versa from Monday to Thursday . The flight offers were aimed primarily at business travelers and were therefore designed as daytime connections (outward flight in the morning, return flight in the evening), which meant that a one-day stay in the respective destination city was possible without an overnight stay. Charter flights were also offered. From June 2009 to October 2009 Klagenfurt Airport was also an operational base. There were direct flights from Klagenfurt to Zurich and Stuttgart via Graz.
fleet
As of August 2011, the Robin Hood Aviation fleet consisted of two aircraft:
- 2 Saab 340A (taken over by Air Nelson )
The aircraft were named "Little John" or "Maid Marian".
