Rock-O-Rama / discography

The Rock-O-Rama label first made a name for itself as a punk label, before it switched to the right-wing rock market in 1984 with the success of the album The Nice Man of the Böhsen Onkelz and became the most successful and best-selling right-wing rock label by the mid-1990s developed. In addition to the main label, there are numerous sub-labels. The individual publications were only numbered chronologically at the beginning. Numbers were later left out and the numerous sub-labels sometimes used high entry numbers.

The first publication is always given. Later re-releases, new editions or CD editions were not taken into account.

Punk and apolitical publications

In the beginning, Rock-O-Rama was a punk label. Even after the change to the right-wing rock label, there were always releases from actually apolitical bands, such as Condemned 84 or Materialschlacht about the later director Andreas Bethmann .

Legal rock publications

From the Böhse-Onkelz debut album, The Nice Man (1984, RRR 40), more and more legal rock publications were added. At first the serial numbers were still properly managed, RRR stood for the LP versions and RCD for the CD versions. The list always includes the first publication. From the mid-1990s, listing became problematic. Several codes were assigned, numbers left out, sub-label codes assigned for rock-o-rama releases, and a large number of unauthorized releases (quasi bootlegs ) published, some in CD-R format (which is also used for regular releases has been). The situation after Egoldt's death in 2005 becomes very diffuse. This is dealt with in a separate section.
