Rodriguez is a Filipino municipality in the province of Rizal , in the administrative region IV, Calabarzon. It has 369,222 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 11 barangays . It is classified as a first income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized .

Rodriguez is located in the north of the province of Rizal, on the border with the metropolitan area Metro Manila and the provinces of Bulacan and Quezon . The topography of the municipality is characterized by the Sierra Madre mountain range . Its neighboring communities are Quezon City in the west, San Jose del Monte City in the northwest, Norzagaray in the north, Antipolo City and San Mateo in the south, and General Nakar in the east.

The Pamitinan Protected Landscape , in which the historically significant Pamitinan Cave is located, lies on the territory of the municipality . Another is the Marikina Watershed Forest Reserve .

From 1909 to 1982 the city was called Montalban , but was then renamed after Eulogio A. Rodriguez senior .
