Ronald Edmund Dupree (born January 26, 1981 in Biloxi , Mississippi ) is an American basketball player . Dupree was at various clubs in the US professional league NBA as a supplementary player under contract. In the meantime, he was repeatedly given to so-called farm teams in the NBA Development League (D-League). Dupree, who played in the position of small forward , was then under contract with German runner-up Telekom Baskets from Bonn for almost a full season in the 2009/10 BBL season before returning to the NBA.

Career

Dupree was not selected in the 2003 NBA draft and initially failed to make the leap into the NBA's most highly endowed professional league via the Detroit Pistons training camp. After initially playing for the Huntsville Flight in the D-League, he signed a fixed-term contract with the Chicago Bulls in January 2004, which was extended until the end of the season and for which he received an average of 6.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1 , Booked 2 assists per game. After his rookie season he signed a contract with the Pistons, but was transferred to the Minnesota Timberwolves after a season. In the 2006/2007 season he returned to Detroit, but they released him in late 2007. Via the Tulsa 66ers in the D-League, he made it into the Seattle SuperSonics squad in April 2008. After a training camp in the summer break with the Cleveland Cavaliers , Dupree played in the 2008/09 season in Oklahoma , but not for the Sonics, who moved to Oklahoma City as Thunder , but again in Tulsa for the 66ers in the D-League. This transferred him over the course of the season to league rivals Utah Flash , where he was in the Utah Jazz squad during the summer break . However, Dupree was again deleted from the squad before the start of the season.

Then Dupree signed a one-year contract with German runner-up Telekom Baskets from Bonn for the 2009/10 season , where he was supposed to replace the injured Vincent Yarbrough . In the play-offs of the Basketball Bundesliga 2009/10 , however, they were eliminated in the first round in three games against the eventual champions Brose Baskets . Then Dupree was again under contract with an NBA club, but was released from the contract by the Toronto Raptors before the start of the season. This then took him over the turn of the year for ten days, where he was used in three games. Then Dupree played again in the D-League for the Utah Flash. After this club stopped playing at the end of the season, Dupree was active in December 2011 before the season started late due to the lockout for the Charlotte Bobcats , who did not take him over in their season squad. In January 2012 Dupree signed a four-week contract with Regatas from Corrientes, Argentina . He then returned to Europe and signed with the Italian second division Aget from Imola until the end of the season .

For the 2012/2013 season, Dupree initially received no new contract in Europe and returned to the USA. There he played in the NBA Summer League and received a preliminary contract with the Memphis Grizzlies in September . A few days before the start of the season, however, the contract was canceled by the Grizzlies. Dupree remained without a club until January 2013 and finally signed another contract in the D-League with the Los Angeles Lakers farm team , the D-Fenders from Los Angeles . After 18 games, Dupree was traded within the league and was transferred to the Reno Bighorns .

For the 2013/2014 season, Dupree returned to Europe and joined the basketball division of Hapoel Jerusalem .
