Rudolf Obkircher

Rudolf Otto Julius Obkircher (born April 18, 1859 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † April 3, 1916 in Karlsruhe ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Rudolf Obkircher, son of Hermann Obkircher , attended pre-school in Heidelberg , the grammar schools in Heidelberg, Karlsruhe and Mannheim and studied law at the universities of Heidelberg , Berlin and Freiburg . During his studies in 1879 he became a member of the Vineta Heidelberg fraternity . In 1882 he became a trainee lawyer in Baden, 1886 trainee, 1890 district judge in Villingen , 1892 in Ettlingen , 1894 district judge in Mosbach , 1898 in Freiburg, 1906 district court director in Mannheim and 1910 in Karlsruhe. In 1906 he was made an honorary doctorate in law from the University of Freiburg. He used to be a reserve officer in the 1st Baden Leib-Grenadier-Regiment 109 and most recently a lieutenant in the Landwehr. For the duration of the war he was senior war judge at the Deputy General Command XIV. He was also a member of the Second Chamber of Baden from 1898 to 1907. He was awarded the Landwehr Service Award II. Class , the Iron Cross II. Class on the white and black ribbon , From the Zähringer Löwen he received the Knight's Cross 1st Class with Oak Leaves and the Baden Government Jubilee Medal from 1902 .

From 1914 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Baden 12 ( Heidelberg , Mosbach ) and the National Liberal Party .
