Ruggero Mastroianni

Ruggero Mastroianni (born November 7, 1929 in Rome , † September 9, 1996 there ) was an Italian film editor .

biography

Ruggero Mastroianni first worked at Instituto Poligrafico di Stato before doing the same as his brother Marcello and working in film. There he initially worked as a camera assistant and later became interested in film editing. He was trained by Dolores Tamburini and was able to edit a film independently for the first time in 1959. Enduring collaborations developed with Federico Fellini , Luchino Visconti and Francesco Rosi .

In a career spanning more than 35 years, he has been hired to edit more than 150 films and received the David di Donatello five times for his work.
