Ruth Brauer-Kvam (born Ruth Brauer on February 8, 1972 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress . She is the daughter of the Austrian painter Arik Brauer and a sister of the singer Timna Brauer .

biography

Ruth Brauer-Kvam studied at the dance and singing studio Theater an der Wien and graduated in 1993 with a diploma. In the following years she played musical roles a. a. at the Theater des Westens in Berlin, the Theater Bremen and the Landestheater Salzburg .

Together with her husband, the singer, pianist and actor Kyrre Kvam , she produced Alone Together - A Tribute to Judy Garland ; both were shown in 2006 at the StadtTheater walfischgasse .

In 2008 Brauer-Kvam played the role of Sophie Weber in the production Die Weberischen in the Vienna Volksoper . Currently (as of 2014) she is a member of the ensemble in the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna, where she is on stage in the production of Im Weiße Rössl . In the same place she can also be seen in the Austrian premiere of Roland Schimmelpfennig's play Visit to the Father .

The artist also works as a painter and illustrator . In the summer of 2004 , she opened a studio in Vienna together with the Austrian actress Caroline Frank . Exhibitions of her works take place again and again. In the summer of 2006, for example, she organized an exhibition at Strasbourg Castle with her father, Arik Brauer. At her exhibition in autumn 2008, she also presented her book Alles Gut . She donated the net proceeds from this exhibition to the non-profit organization "Wiener Krebshilfe".

The audio book I dream of a children's world by Caroline Vasicek-Pfeifer , published in October 2008, arranged by Christian Kolonovits , was illustrated by her.
