Sønderborg Kommune (German: Kommune Sonderburg ) is a municipality in Sønderjyllands Amt ( North Schleswig ) in Denmark . It was created during the municipal reform in 1970, when the city of Sønderborg was united with the neighboring communities Dybbøl (German: Düppel ) and Ulkebøl (German: Ulkebüll ). The new municipality of Sønderborg (German: Sonderburg ) has owned the municipalities Augustenborg (German: Augustenburg ), Broager (German: Broacker ), Gråsten (German: Gravenstein ), Nordborg (German: Norburg ), Sundeved (German: Sundewitt ), Sydals since 2007 (German: Südalsen ) with 21 parish communities.
