SR 3 Saarlandwelle is a public radio program of the Saarland Broadcasting Corporation . The broadcast began on January 7, 1980. Today, SR 3 Saarlandwelle is one of the most listened to radio programs on Saarland Radio.

program

The program focus of SR 3 is on regional reporting (daily programs: “Region am Mittag” and “Region am afternoon”) as well as three times a day SR 3 - Rundschau; supplemented by extensive sports coverage on the weekend (“Sport and Music”).

The focus of the music at SR 3 is on German music and international oldies.

Night program

On SR 3, the ARD night programs ARD Night Express and ARD Radio Alarm clock could be heard daily until October 3, 2011 , both of which were produced by SR 3 every four weeks in the night from Wednesday to Thursday. The night program has been called ARD Hitnacht since October 4 and has been taken over by Norddeutscher Rundfunk from Monday to Sunday since January 14, 2018 . Before that, SR3 had this job from Monday to Saturday, on Sundays WDR4 took over .

reception

In Saarland , SR 3 broadcasts on several VHF frequencies, but it can be received almost everywhere in the greater Saar-Lor-Lux region on 95.5 MHz (transmitter location: Göttelborner Höhe ). In addition, the SR 3 program is fed into the Saarland cable network. The national cable frequency is 97.2 MHz. In addition, SR 3 is broadcast via DVB-S , DAB and an Internet live stream.
