Sabrina Kruck (born November 3, 1981 in Starnberg ) is a German ice hockey player who has been playing for the women's team of ESC Geretsried in the Bavarian State League since 2013 .

Career

In 1985, at the age of four, Sabrina Kruck began ice skating. Sabrina came to ice hockey through her father and brother. She went through the junior teams of TuS Geretsried , for whose women's team she played in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga from 1997 and took part in the finals of the German championship several times.

In 2001, after the dissolution of the Geretsried Moskistos , Kruck and her teammates moved to SC Riessersee in the southern season of the Bundesliga . With the SCR, as in the previous season with the Moskitos, Kruck reached the final of the German championship in 2002 , in which the SCR lost 2-1 to TV Kornwestheim after extra time . For the 2002/03 season she moved first to EHC Memmingen , for which she played until the end of December 2002, and in January 2003 to TV Kornwestheim, with which she won the German championship in 2003 . After this success she returned to the SCR.

After completing her training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, she was accepted into the sports promotion group of the German Armed Forces in 2003. She had the rank of staff sergeant .

Between 2007 and 2009 Kruck played for the ESC Planegg and won her second German championship with it in 2008. She then played at EC Bergkamen before ending her career. Since 2013 she has been playing again for the ESC Geretsried in the second-class Bavarian regional league. Since December 2019 she has also been head of the ESC Geretsried office.

International

Sabrina Kruck made her debut for the German national team during the 1997/98 season and played her first world championship in 1999 . Other world championships followed in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008, with the best placing in 2005 with fifth place. She also played for Germany at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and 2006 in Turin . In total, Sabrina Kruck completed 159 international matches, in which she scored 7 goals and 23 assists.
