Sahibganj is a district in the Indian state of Jharkhand .

The area is 2063 km². The administrative seat is the city of the same name, Sahibganj .

The population was 1,150,567 (2011). The population growth rate in the period from 2001 to 2011 was 24.01% and was therefore very high.
