Saleh Gomaa (صالح جمعة, Born August 1, 1993 in al-Arish ) is an Egyptian soccer player .
Career
society
Gomaa has a three years younger brother, Abdallah Gomaa , who is also a soccer player. The player began his career in the Egyptian Premier League , the first Egyptian league, at the ENPPI Club . He made his debut during the 2010/11 season when he came to his first appearance on April 13, 2011 at the age of 17. He completed ten games for his club in his first year. In May 2013 he was invited to a trial training session at Borussia Dortmund , after having previously played at RSC Anderlecht . However, the German champions from 2012 refrained from signing the midfielder.
Instead, it was awarded to the Portuguese first division club Nacional Funchal towards the end of 2013 . On January 20, 2014, he played his first competitive game for the club in the league, before being successful with a goal for the first time on February 8 of the same year. The initially six-month loan was extended in summer 2014 for the 2014/15 season. In his year and a half in Portugal, he made 36 league games (two goals). There were also seven appearances in the Portuguese Cup (no goal) and two appearances in the UEFA Europa League (no goal). After the 18-month loan had expired, the club had the option to sign Gomaa, but did not use it.
Gomaa then moved back to Egypt and signed with al Ahly SC from Cairo .
National team
Gooma went through various youth national teams in Egypt. In 2011 he started with the U-20s , with whom he completed the 2011 World Cup , in which the team failed in the second round to Argentina. On October 8, 2011, the midfielder made his debut in the senior national team at the age of 18 . In 2010/11 he was used in a total of eight other international matches. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 he was with the Egyptian U-23 at the start and reached the quarter-finals, where the team finally failed to the Japanese.
