action

Art rider Verena faces a difficult task: after her father died, she now has to take over the management of his circus all by herself. Particularly problematic is the fact that her father had received the urgently needed bank loan, but the money house now sets new conditions: Verena has to accept a trustee at her side who watches over the use of the money. This man is the young Manfred Lange, who with great commitment quickly settles into the completely unknown circus world and quickly wins Verena's affection. The experienced and much older predator tamer Cadenos doesn't like this fact at all, as the jealous hothead has had an eye on Verena himself for a long time.

Cadenos believes that he has rights towards Verena and the circus business because the deceased circus director once commissioned him to provide advice and assistance to Verena, as her co-director, so to speak, after his death. Manfred's love for Verena collides at the crucial moment with a fit of jealousy from Cadenos, which almost leads to the upcoming premiere in danger. When a fire suddenly breaks out in the stable, the big catastrophe threatens. At the last moment, the danger can be averted because the artists stick together. The premiere is saved and will be a great success, and Verena and Manfred will eventually become a couple.

Reviews

In the mirror you can read: "A very" German "circus film, in which only one thing is remarkable: the routine with which the scriptwriter and director open the drawers of the mind and the" drama "(...) Overall: One and a half hours of honestly produced boredom. "

In the lexicon of international films it says: "Average circus film full of clichés."
