Kathe Itter
Käthe Itter (born June 2, 1907 in Spandau ; † June 30, 1992 ; also known as Käte Itter ) was a German actress and radio play speaker .
Life
Käthe Itter was the daughter of the bailiff Heinrich Itter and his wife Maria. After training at Dr. Hoch's Conservatory in Frankfurt am Main took her first positions as soubrette at theaters in Frankfurt am Main and Heidelberg , at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and again at various theaters in Chemnitz and Nuremberg . An engagement at the Munich Volkstheater followed in the season from 1933 to 1934 . From 1935 to 1948 Käthe Itter was a member of the ensemble at the State Theater in Stuttgart . This was followed by various guest performances and tours. In the season from 1954 to 1955 she was engaged at the municipal theater in Baden-Baden , then at the Württemberg state theater in Eßlingen am Neckar (then name). From the 1958/1959 season onwards he worked at the Hebbel Theater in Berlin . There she was seen in Walther Suessenguth's production of Sam Spewack's Two Blind Chickens in 1958 .
From 1952 Käthe Itter worked increasingly in film and later also in television productions . Among them were the films Solange noch die Rosen blühn by Hans Deppe with Hertha Feiler , Gerhard Riedmann and Eva Probst in 1956, in 1957 Night When the Devil Came by Robert Siodmak with Claus Holm , Mario Adorf and Hannes Messemer and in 1965 Dr. med. Job Praetorius by Kurt Hoffmann with Heinz Rühmann , Liselotte Pulver and Fritz Rasp . In addition to appearances in television series such as Funkstreife Isar 12 , Kommissar Freytag and Die Fifth Kolonne , Käthe Itter could be seen in the television films On the Green Beach of the Spree and Order for the Child Prodigies. In this parody of the affluent society she starred in the direction of Rainer Erler with Carl-Heinz Schroth , Edith Heerdegen and Hans Jürgen Diedrich .
Käthe Itter also worked as a radio play speaker. She could be heard as Mizi Schlager in an adaptation of Arthur Schnitzler's play Liebelei in 1946 .
