The joint municipality of Bodenwerder was a joint municipality in Lower Saxony on the Oberweser in the Holzminden district with its seat in Bodenwerder .

Geographical location

The Municipality is between about Hameln and Einbeck (or Holzminden ) located in the Weserbergland at the upper Weser and has an area of 114.27.

Joint community structure

The combined community includes the member communities Halle , Hehlen , Heyen , Kirchbrak and Pegestorf as well as the city of Bodenwerder , which is also the seat of the combined community.

On March 23, 2009, the joint municipal councils of the joint municipality of Bodenwerder and the joint municipality of Polle in Buchhagen agreed to merge to form the new joint municipality of Bodenwerder-Polle on January 1, 2010.
