The Schillig is a former sea sign ship of the Federal Republic of Germany and was in service from 1976 to 2013 at what was then the Wilhelmshaven Waterways and Shipping Authority .
history
The ship was built in 1975/1976 under the construction number 131 at the Julius Diedrich shipyard in Oldersum , East Frisia . The keel was laid on August 21, 1975, the launch in January 1976. The ship, christened on May 5, 1976, was also completed in May.
The main task was the laying out and control floating navigational aids in addition to moving waterways of Jade and the islands Wangerooge and Minsener Oog . The ship was named after the place in the northeast of the East Frisian peninsula . On March 11, 2013, it was decommissioned and replaced by a new building of the same name . The ship was later sold to the Netherlands and put back into service as an offshore supply ship under the name Tonijn .
Technical data and equipment
The ship is of two twelve-cylinder - four cycle - diesel engines of the manufacturer Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz (type SF 12 M 716), each with 221 kW power driven. The motors act on two fixed propellers via gears . The ship thus reaches a speed of 10 knots .
A generator with 35 kVA apparent power is available for the power supply .
The ship has an open working deck in front of the aft deck structure . An on-board crane is available here for launching and retrieving floating sea marks. The crane has a lifting capacity of 3 t with a radius of up to 5.5 m.
The hull of the ship is reinforced with ice ( ice class E).
