The Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg region is one of twelve spatial planning and planning regions in Baden-Württemberg . It includes the Rottweil district , the Schwarzwald-Baar district and the Tuttlingen district .

Geographically, the area includes the eastern edge of the southern Black Forest , the Baar plateau and, with the Heuberg, the western part of the Swabian Alb. In the south, the region borders on the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen for a few kilometers .

The Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Economic Development Agency is a regional economic development agency for the 76 municipalities in the three districts of Rottweil, Tuttlingen and Schwarzwald-Baar-Kreis, based in Villingen-Schwenningen. The aim is to strengthen Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg as a business location and to make the region's qualities better known as a place to live, work and do business.

The work is carried out by 23 shareholders, including cities and municipalities, the districts of Rottweil, Tuttlingen and the Schwarzwald-Baar district, the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg regional association as well as the Constance Chamber of Crafts and the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Commerce.

The offers of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Economic Development Agency are aimed at companies, specialists and municipalities and currently include the following topics:

Jürgen Guse has been the Managing Director since October 4, 2019, and Jürgen Roth , Lord Mayor of Villingen-Schwenningen , is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board .

On January 1, 1973, the Black Forest-Baar-Heuberg regional association was established as a public corporation as the body responsible for regional planning in the region . This is one of 12 regional associations in Baden-Württemberg , two of which are also responsible beyond state borders. The office of the regional association Black Forest-Baar-Heuberg is located in Villingen-Schwenningen .
