Screwaholic (born June 12, 1980 in Dresden ; real name René Schellrich Jr. ) is a producer based in Villingen-Schwenningen who was under contract with Bushido's label ersguterjunge from 2006 to early 2009 .

biography

Screwaholic began working on sounds in general at the age of 12 in 1992 and, from 1997, on beats in particular. He continued to develop his own style with the aim of making a living as a producer. Due to poor future prospects, etc. a. originated from a broken apprenticeship, he decided to complete another commercial apprenticeship. At the time of his training as a retail salesman, he was also working as a DJ, which enabled him to easily switch to the music sector after completing his training.

In 1997 he founded the Birkenwald crew with two German-speaking and one English-speaking MC , where he was mainly active as a producer / DJ and with whom he released two EPs and one LP. After they split up, he mainly focused on producing. In the meantime, Screwaholic tried rapping under the name of cumshot , which he described as “not having a lot of prospects”, whereupon he turned back to producing.

He became known primarily through productions for the successful albums and singles by Azad , Donato , Jonesmann , Pal One , Nazz'n'Tide , Spax , Eko Fresh , Bushido and the respective artists from the ersguterjunge label . He also produced for numerous underground artists. The range for his artistic work includes Germany as well as France and Sweden.

Screwaholic has been an integral part of the ersguterjunge crew since mid-April 2006 and produces Beatlefield ( Chakuza & DJ Stickle ), Bizzy Montana and Decay beats for the albums and singles of the individual artists. He produced beats on the successful remix versions of Bushidos Von der Skyline zum Bordstein zurück , Sonnenbank Flavor (# 15) and Janine (# 24) for Chakuzas Eure Kinder ft. Bushido (# 25), as well as beats on the albums Search & Destroying Chakuza (# 50), Das Leben ist Saad ( Saad ) (# 15), Seelenblut ( D-Bo ) (# 59), Blackout (Chakuza & Bizzy Montana) (# 69) and the ersguterjunge sampler Vendetta (# 7).

In 2007 Screwaholic received a gold record for his work on the ersguterjunge sampler Vendetta . He received a platinum record in 2008 for his work on Bushido's album 7 .

After the releases of the Bizzy Montana and Saad albums, work on Screwaholic's producer album is expected to begin, with various national and international guests.

In March 2009, Screwaholic left Bushido's label to pursue new musical paths.
