The (also the ) Seemenbach , locally also the Seeme , is an approximately 37 kilometers long left tributary of the Nidder in the western Vogelsberg .

The stream rises north of the Ober-Seemen district belonging to the city of Gedern , below the Alteburg. It flows through Ober-, Mittel- and Nieder-Seemen, then through Kefenrod , Büdingen and the Büdingen districts of Wolferborn , Rinderbügen and Düdelsheim . A flood retention basin is located above Düdelsheim . The Seemenbach flows into the Nidder near Altenstadt - Lindheim behind the sports field in the Wetterau .

In the Büdinger Forest you can find clearings in the forest and deer often in the Seemenbachaue . The black woodpecker , tawny owl and peregrine falcon also live there.
The bank areas of the Seemenbach are the habitat of common snipe , curlew , dipper , blue-winged dragonfly , banded dragonfly and two-striped damsel .
In Seemenbach come u. a. The following fish species are present: the carp , the tench , the brown trout , the eel and the pike , as well as various white fish
