Sellye [ ˈʃɛjːɛ ] (German: Schelle , Croatian: Šeljin ) is a small town in the southern Hungarian county of Baranya , 25 km southwest of the county capital Pécs not far from the Hungarian southern border.
The place is located in the valley of the Drava , in the Ormánság region , which also forms the border with Croatia , at the intersection of two highways: the east-west route runs from the border town of Barcs (40 km west) to Harkány and Siklós (37 and 37 respectively . 42 km), the north route to Lake Sumony and on to Szentlőrinc (25 km), where the highways to Kaposvár and to Lake Balaton and to Pécs meet. Sellye is also a small railway junction (two branch lines analogous to the streets listed).
