The burner transmitter is a filling transmitter and an RAI infrastructure. This system serves the area around the Brenner . It is also used by the South Tyrol Broadcasting Corporation .
Due to the proximity to the Austrian border , the programs can also be received in Austria. Due to the unfavorable location and the low transmission power, the programs cannot be received far beyond the border. The reception goes roughly with the VHF transmitters as far as Gries am Brenner (for the most part without interference) and as far as Brennerbad (where the Eisack Valley transmitter also covers the area). In some cases, surprisingly, the reception goes as far as Nößlach (not free of interference). With DVB-T programs, reception goes as far as Lueg .
