The transmitter Rauchkofel of the Österreichischen Rundfunksender GmbH is located on the 1,910 meter high Rauchkofel south of the city of Lienz .

The 55 meter high freestanding steel lattice tower is the most important transmitter for supplying East Tyrol with radio and television signals and also covers parts of Carinthia , in particular the Möll Valley . A separate cable car was built to supply the transmitter.
