The transmitter Weingarten ( Schussental ) is a filling station of the Südwestrundfunk (formerly Südwestfunk ) for radio . It is located above about two kilometers west of the municipality of Berg near Ravensburg on a wooded hill. A 74 meter high, free-standing reinforced concrete mast is used as the antenna carrier.
From here the municipality of Berg and the surrounding area is supplied with the radio programs of the SWR and the radio program of Radio 7 .
Up until the introduction of DVB-T , the television program Das Erste (transmission power: 0.4 kW) was broadcast terrestrially by this station .

The Weingarten broadcaster has been broadcasting digital radio since November 20, 2018. DAB is broadcast in vertical polarization and in single-frequency mode with other transmitters.
